Outstanding Physical Education MOOC

There are growing pressures on all PE teachers to reach the highest levels of performance. This free online course is designed to help PE teachers achieve and sustain these levels. It defines an “outstanding” physical education lesson as one that meets the diverse learning needs of all of its students at a point in time and in a specific context

The course begins with a guided, expert analysis of students’ needs, local and national curriculum requirements, and teachers’ personal readiness to deliver outstanding PE lessons. Throughout, PE teachers will be positioned as “activators” – practitioners who activate new, inclusive learning possibilities for their students. 

JustJag was awarded the University of Birmingham "Teaching & Learning Award"  for his innovative work and dedication on this 'outstanding' MOOC. 1st Place!

JustJag developed a website to capture particpants after the MOOC was done. This was groundbreaking approach to continue the conversation long after the 'learning' was done. This scheme has fostered a comminity of learners.

This is the first online course about youth sport. It aligns with the growing focus on sport coaches as significant community assets and is delivered by an expert national governing body and course team in the field.

The course will bridge unique gaps in policy, practice and research to design useful learning experience for youth coaches. You’ll learn in new interesting and interactive ways and explore how digital tools can help ongoing professional development.

JustJag really enjoyed working with the FA Education Team and Sport Exercise Scientists at University of Birmingham.

The Birmingham Qur’an is one of the oldest surviving Islamic manuscripts. Discover the story behind one of the oldest Islamic manuscripts in the world

This course will explore the origins and the journey of the Birmingham Qur’an from the Islamic heartlands, the significance of the Birmingham Qur’an, the methods used to determine its age and how it is cared for at Cadbury Research Library, University of Birmingham.

On top of creating the MOOC - a number of bespoke videos were produced by JustJag for the exhibition in the UAE. 

Due to the nature of the subject matter. JustJag had to be cultural aware  - mindful of his audience at all times.
